We started the week with a mass at the Filzmoos Church to celebrate Hugo's 45th anniversary of his ordination. The Filzmoos Children's choir lead the singing. Many of us joined in with prayers, reflections, readings, altar serving, offertories and gifts and flowers.

Our Tour Guide, Mr Erlbacher. He visited the "Jesus-child" in the church of Filzmoos often and was blessed with 7 children!
Onze gids, Meneer Erlbacher. Hij bezocht het Jesus-kind in de kerk van Filzmoos en was gezegend met wel 7 kinderen!

It's all over !

I'm so sad it's all over!
Ik ben verdrietig dat het allemaal voorbij is!

Not a "Klein(small)berg" !

On the first day, we climbed the "Klein (small) berg" - 1.5 hrs later and 500 metres higher, we arrived!

De eerste dag besloten we de "Kleine-berg" te beklimmen - na anderhalf uur en 500meter te klimmen waren we er eindelijk!

Vlinders/Butterflies!

Yoke went to sit by the lake for a little relax, when all of a sudden she was surrounded by hundreds of butterflies!
Yoke ging bij de kant van het meer zitten, en ineens was ze omringd door honderden vlinders!

Boat People

People thought that we wore the Green T-shirts because we all came from an "institution" and so as our leaders could readily identify us!

Mensen dachten dat wij allemaal van een instelling kwamen en dat we daarom allemaal een groene t-shirt draagden!

The "Tyroler-evening" was an enjoyable event. Everyone joined in the dancing, playing music, shoe-slapping and dressing up!

We were treated to a piano concert by some Japanese children after dinner on the first night. The little girl on the right is only 5 years old!

Hugo leidde ons in gebed - we dachten na over de 3 stylen van LIEFHEBBEN. Het was te doen in de mooie kerk van Filzmoos.

In der Nacht breitet sich mit lebhaftem Westwind kräftiger Regen aus. Die Frühtemperaturen liegen zwischen 6 und 12 Grad, die Höchstwerte erreichen 25 bis 30 Grad.

Am Samstag bleibt das Wetter wechselhaft, vor allem am Vormittag ziehen noch Regenschauer durch. Der Sonntag bietet freundliches Wetter, zeitweise scheint die Sonne. Es bleibt meist trocken.

Practical Information

1.De taxis van Salzburg luchthaven naar Filzmoos zijn betaald. Het is Erlbacher taxi.

2.Dress code Unterhof. Dit is een 4 sterren hotel en voor het diner word toilet gemaakt. We zouden het sportief chic noemen. Vergeet je zwemgerief niet. Een sweater voor s’avonds; het kan het flink afkoelen in de bergen. Voorzie ook regenkledij want het kan wel eens regenen! Comfortabele wandelschoenen zijn prettig bij bergwandelingen. We gaan niet aan alpinisme doen maar.....

3. Op de dagen dat er geen georganiseerde aktiviteit is, en je beu bent van de sauna en de 2 zwembaden (binnen en buiten)? Surf naar www.filzmoos.at en maak je keuze tussen nordic walking, minigolf, wildwater rafting, paragliding, tennis(Chieftain Hugo organiseert de Filzmoos open - The Pig), ponyrijden, bowling, of gewoon genieten van het panorama.

4. Op 4/08 is de viering in de kerk om 17.00 en niet om 19.00. Zo zijn we tijdig terug in het Unterhof voor de feestdrank aangeboden door Chieftain Hugo, die de 45ste verjaardag viert van zijn wijding.

Mochten er nog vragen zijn horen we het graag.

1.Taxis from the airport to Filzmoos will be Erlbacher taxis. They have been paid.
Guido/Nadege please wait at the airport for the arrival of Erika/Alan 25mins. later. You can all travel together in a mini-van. Clan members arriving from Dusseldorf look out for Erlbacher taxis minivan also. Dirk arriving from Zurich will be met by one of the chieftains.

2. Dress code at the Unterhof is casual chic. People dress up a bit for dinner. Do not forget your swimsuit, a sweater (chilly in the evenings), and raincoat, and easy walking shoes. (We are not going to climb mountains, but a walk in the mountains is easier with comfortable shoes)

3.What to do during the days at leisure.I f you get tired of the sauna and the swimming pools (inside and outdoor) you can go nordic walking, play tennis, go wildwater rafting, pony riding, bowling, paragliding, mingolf or just enjoy the scenery. Look it up at www.filzmoos.at

4. Aug 4. We have obtained permission from the pastor to have a mass at 5pm just for our clan. After the mass, a drink will be offered in the garden of the hotel, by the celebrant of the day: Chieftain Hugo, who is celebrating the 45th anniversary of his ordination.

Bovendien vernamen we dat Mc. Alan van de Higginson clan dit jaar de kaap van de halve eeuw (15 x3 = 45 + 5) voorbijzeilt. Hij heeft een vat 50 year old Pure Malt met naar de hooglanden gestuurd.

Ondertussen hebben we vanuit het hoogland bevestiging ontvangen dat de tenten tijdig zullen opgesteld worden. We hebben dan ook de koets met het goudtransport richting Zoutberg gestuurd........
